About Jean-guy R. Lauture, Sr.

Jean-guy Richard Lauture, Sr.

Jean-guy R. Lauture, Sr. is a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Having migrated to the United States at the early age of 12. He is proudly fluent in Haitian Creole and English. A lifelong learner and constantly looks for opportunities to expand his perspective.

At first, he pursued a degree as a pre-med major but eventually fell in love with technology. He has worked for many sectors but mostly enjoyed working as a senior tech for several fashion houses.

For over ten years, he has collectively worked for David Chu Design International, LLC, and Armani Exchange in Manhattan, NY. He has lived in the shadows of the fashion world as an IT professional, but from a distance, he has always had an affinity for fashion. From a young age, he had a natural talent for the arts as a painter and a creative spoken word artist. His passion for the arts has always been at the forefront of all his endeavors.

He is a proud parent or guardian of 2 boys: a 28-year-old developing a great IT career working for a local school district and another who is sixteen and is an inspiring lawyer or business professional.

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”
